The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

After helping to stop the rebellion undertaken by the Order of the Flaming Rose and saving King Foltest's life, Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the King in the monarch's mission to bring peace to his state. The last bastions of the Order yielded to the royal army. The only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette, who announced separation from the Kingdom. It's been a month since the attempted assassination of the king, when his army arrives at the gates of Baroness La Valette's fortress in preparation for the final battle. In the meantime, Geralt, stuck with Foltest, cannot begin his personal quest - to discover the origin and identity of the mysterious witcher-like assassin responsible for the attempt on the king's life - a quest that would answer many questions...

I fell in love with WITCHER and now this is one of the best sequel games of this generation. The lighting sound and all other visual aspects, along with the sound are perfect and amazing. The gameplay is amazing i especially enjoyed the combat. In most games i saw that take downs and combat were slow but impressive. In this game you hit someone with a sword its fast, you beat them up with fists its fast and looks like a take down, for example the jail break. You jump out of your chains punch a guy in the face and then get in a brawl with two guards. One guard you may grab and punch then knee in the stomach, and all of it is fast and flawless. I played alpha protocol it was fun and take downs looked cool but they were slow it was like when i was in martial arts and we had to demonstrate. Its like that in witcher 2 as well only its fast and fluid and i really enjoy it. Maybe you don't like all of this but your looking for a long rpg game that will give you a lasting appeal and lasts long as well. Then this is the perfect game the story is long and engaging, and besides the story there are hundreds of side quests. You could easily squeeze 30 to 50 hours out of this game. Have you ever played any of the Fable games? You like them? You know how when you do something and the game reacts changing the world dramatically? Its like that in this game as well. You make a choice and sometimes you see the change really soon, other times its hours into the game before the change takes place. I thought that was awesome and i loved it. Oh and by the way the dlc ( downloadable content ) its FREE.

I'll admit I'm not very far into the game yet, but so far my impression is this.
Visually, the game is very good: the environments are absolutely beautiful and incredibly detailed. A few of the effects are a little bellow par for a game of this caliber, but they don't detract from the experience. The downside is that you need a very beefy GPU to run at max settings, but even a card that's a year or two old shouldn't have trouble with high settings.
The mouse and keyboard controls felt very clunky to me. Correct placement of your character is key to interacting with this game world (opening doors and chests and looting enemies) and WADS just cant give you accurate control of your character in this game, especially when your character carries his momentum a bit when he moves. I purchased a wired 360 controller for my PC and it helped a lot, but it doesn't solve the problem entirely.
The story is of course, why you buy this game, and unfortunately its a bit hard to understand for someone new to the series. The dialog is full of terms that you wont really understand unless you have played Witcher 1 or are a fan of the literature. Thankfully there is a in-game journal that keeps track of important people and places and has a nice feature of updating itself as you learn more about your subject.
As a side note: When i picked up this game at EB-Games, i was amazed by all the extra content that is included with it. For the regular price, I got not only the game but a small map poster, some weird paper-craft dolls, free DLC, a handy players guide, a bonus DVD of behind the scenes features, and a CD of the games soundtrack.
